The social media best practices conference session (here) was a great start to a conversation that CALI and Laura Bergus, one of the leaders of that session, would like to continue.
We hope to eventually develop some tangible guidelines for helping law school students, staff, faculty, and employers use social media. But we need your help.
Here are three things you can do:
1) Fill out this one page, 5-minute survey.
2) Join our group and further the discussion (www.socialmediabestpractices.org) to actively participate in the discussion. The only appropriate way to continue this conversation is through a social media group of our own! This group will give anyone who is interested the ability to participate in this discussion online, and it will allow us organize our next steps. It already has a few great resources and other documents as a start.
3) Subscribe to the Social Media Best Practices Mailing List to hear about occasional updates and notes on the topic over email.
We need voices from all levels of law school, from students to staff to administrators, to help us develop these ideas into something valuable for our CALI members and other schools.
So please, if nothing else, take a quick survey and ask others at your school to do the same.
