1. Where does CALI post-award recipients?
You can find a list of award recipients here.
2. I don't see my or my school's awards in the lists of award recipients!
Awards may not appear here for several reasons: a) your school doesn't participate in CALI awards b) the school opts not to post-award publicly, c) the student has requested we take the award down, d) schools haven't sent us awards lists yet.
If a school opts to not post their awards, individual students can still email webmaster@cali.org to have their award made visible.
3. Who decides who gets a CALI award?
The decision is always made by the faculty at your law school. The information is usually given to your Registrar or Associate Dean who provides the information to CALI to produce the award.
4. What if I don't want my award to appear on your website?
Send an email to the CALI webmaster who will remove the award from the website in a few days.
5. I lost/damaged/dog ate my award. Can I get a duplicate?
Sure thing. Send an email to the CALI webmaster with your name, your address, the law school name, year of the award and your VirtualAward URL or the link to the award on the CALI website (if you have it). It will take a couple of weeks to print and send you the new award. We will email you on the day we actually put the replacement certificate into the mail.
6. There is a mis-spelling or typographic error on my award, can you assist?
Sure thing. Send an email to the CALI webmaster with your name, your address, the law school, year of the award and your VirtualAward URL or the link to the award on the CALI website (if you have it). 7. Why are there nonsense letters in small font at the bottom-right of my award?
Go ahead and type that into your browser and you'll find a virtual award waiting for you. It's actually a permanent, unique URL we provide to all awardees. It directs to the online version of your award. That way you can link to your virtual award from online resumes, profiles, biographies and social media.
8. How do I join the CALI Award Winners LinkedIn group?
If you have won a CALI award, you can join The CALI Award LinkedIn® Group. The link will take you to the unlisted CALI Award LinkedIn® Group page. Once on the webpage, look for "CALI Award Winners" at the top and click on the three (3) dots to the right. A dropdown menu will appear. Select "Request to join". A notice of your request will be sent to the CALI Team for review/approval.
For approval, your CALI Award must be listed under the "Accomplishment/Honors and Awards" section in your profile.
9. How do I get a LinkedIn badge?
Due to changes within LinkedIn, you will not see a CALI badge in your profile.
10. How do I list the CALI Award on my resume?
We are recommending listing the CALI Award on your resume this way - CALI Excellence for the Future Award® (highest grade), Torts (Fall 2020), Contracts (Spring 2019)
