John D. Edwards (J.D., M.A.L.S.) is Associate Dean for Information Resources and Technology and Professor of Law at Drake University Law School. He received his J.D. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, his M.A.L.S. from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and his B.A. from Southeast Missouri State University. He has directed Drake’s Legal Research program since 1985 and served as Executive Director of Legal Research and Writing for more than two decades. In addition to authoring the CALI Iowa exercises, he and his coauthors wrote Iowa Legal Research (2d ed., Carolina Academic Press, 2016). He also is a coauthor of Basic Legal Research Workbook (5th ed., Wolters Kluwer 2016).
