Tawnya K. Plumb

Tawnya Plumb is the director of the George W. Hopper Law Library. She started at the UW College of Law in 2004 and has worked as electronic services librarian, head of electronic and digital services, and most recently as head of collections/associate director. In addition to offering reference service in the library, Tawnya teaches two sections of legal research for first-year students and advanced legal research.

Before coming to the College, Tawnya worked as a law librarian at Hughes & Luce, LLP and at the Texas State Law Library. She also spent three years teaching abroad through the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program.

Tawnya is a member of the American Association of Law Libraries, Chair of the AALL section on Computing Services, and is active in various chapters and special interest sections. She serves on the CALI Legal Research Community Authoring Project as well.
