Deborah Schander is the State Librarian for Connecticut. Before joining the Connecticut State Library, she was an academic law librarian at several institutions including Seton Hall University, Vanderbilt University, and Georgia State University. Her areas of expertise include legal research instruction, foreign and international legal research, information literacy, and library outreach. She received her JD and MLIS from Florida State University in 2007. Deborah is an active member of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL), Chief Officers of State Library Agencies (COSLA), and other professional associations.
